Introduction

HEC-Japanese Need Based Scholarship Program (HEC-JNBS) is focused on providing opportunities of access to Higher Education to the students belonging to unprivileged and deprived income groups who despite possessing academic merit, are unable to peruse their education due to financial constraints.

The scholarship funds cover:

• Tuition fee
• Stipends for lodging, transportation, books and incidental expenditures.

The scope of the program is to award 1500 scholarships to the students of 50 participating institutions/ universities in 6 disciplines having a cost of Rs. 596.667 Million.
